Touch panel maker General Interface Solution (GIS) has announced that it has bought back 30 million shares of its stock, equivalent to a 0.97% stake, at an average price of NT$89.98 (US$2.83) per share.
GIS originally decided to buy back 50 million shares at a price interval of NT$63.00-136.00 per share between December 7, 2016 and February 6, 2017.
GIS has reported consolidated revenues of NT$5.416 billion for January, decreasing 43.04% on month and 40.22% on year. It said the revenue decrease was mainly due to off-season effects.
