     Global panel supply is likely to be tight with prices continuing to rebound in the third quarter of 2016, as demand is expected to pick up, according to WitsView.

Global panel supply was 1.5% in excess of demand in the first quarter of 2016. The oversupply rose to 5.5% in the second quarter, but is expected to decrease to 0.6% in the third quarter, WitsView said.

Supply of 55-inch and below 43-inch TV panels as well as 23- and below 23-inch panels used in LCD monitors in the third quarter is likely to be short and the corresponding prices may rise, WitsView indicated.
